About the Role

Owlstone Medical is seeking a skilled Analytical R&D Laboratory Technician to support our dynamic Analytical Science group. This role involves working closely with research teams to conduct routine laboratory tasks, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare samples and perform laboratory tests and experiments as directed by research teams.
  • Assist in the development, optimization, and validation of analytical methods and procedures.
  • Support biochemical activities, including the preparation of reagents for bioassays.
  • Maintain laboratory safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Record experimental procedures, observations, and results accurately in accordance with established protocols.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Analytical Science, with a focus on expanding knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent laboratory skills, including sample preparation, pipetting, and handling of hazardous chemicals.
  • Knowledge of basic analytical techniques.
  • Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and data analysis software.
