Role Overview

The FP&A Manager is essential in enhancing the financial health of the organization by managing the integration of financial reports, updating long-term financial forecasts, and collaborating with various finance teams to ensure precise and meaningful business insights. This position requires close interaction with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to improve and automate reporting functions. The FP&A Manager will report directly to the Director of FP&A and Commercial Strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Compile and generate weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring precision and punctuality.
  • Examine financial data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Deliver actionable insights and suggestions to senior leadership based on financial evaluations.

Long-Term Financial Model Oversight:

  • Update and manage the long-term financial model to align with current business dynamics and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the model facilitates effective decision-making and forecasting for future growth.
  • Incorporate rolling forecasts into the financial model for continuous updates based on actual performance and market shifts.

Budget Management and Consolidation:

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, collaborating with various departments to collect and verify budget inputs.
  • Consolidate departmental budgets into a comprehensive organizational budget.
  • Monitor and evaluate budget performance against actual results, providing regular updates and variance analysis to senior management.
  • Create and maintain budget reports and dashboards to aid financial planning and decision-making.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Develop and oversee daily cash flow forecasts to ensure effective liquidity management.
  • Analyze cash flow trends and adjust forecasts based on operational changes and financial developments.

Finance Business Partnering:

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for the head office, delivering comprehensive financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with brand finance partners to establish a unified approach to business reporting.
  • Support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to enhance business performance.

Reporting and Process Enhancement:

  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to automate and streamline the reporting process.
  • Establish and implement best-in-class business reporting practices to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance reporting processes and tools to align with business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather relevant data and insights for financial analysis.
  • Build strong relationships with brand finance teams to ensure consistency in reporting standards.

External Engagement:

  • Communicate with banks and external parties to gather macroeconomic data, such as interest rates and economic forecasts, for financial models.
  • Monitor external economic conditions and assess their potential impact on financial performance and planning.
