Graduate Teaching Assistant Post 16 Job Description

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team in South Shields. This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain experience in education and make a positive impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers with lessons and student learning.
  • Work with small groups and individual students to provide extra help.
  • Prepare classroom materials and resources.
  • Assist with managing the classroom and student behavior.

Requirements:

  • A recent degree in any subject.
  • Experience in an educational setting is a plus but not required.
  • A genuine interest in working with older students and a desire to work in education.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS check (or be willing to get one).
  • A commitment to keeping children and young people safe.
