About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate M&A Senior Associate to join our dynamic energy sector team at Burges Salmon. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our accomplished energy lawyers to deliver imaginative solutions to our clients.

The Team

Our energy sector team is renowned for its expertise in co-operatives, community benefit societies, and alternative structures. You will work on a diverse range of responsibilities, from M&A, joint ventures, and equity fundraisings to general corporate matters. Our team provides counsel to developers, utilities, investors, and funders across a comprehensive array of clean energy technologies, as well as broader initiatives related to net-zero and sustainability.

What You'll Need
  • Relevant experience working on energy deals and M&A matters
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Experience of effective matter management and business development activities
  • SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer
