We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Automation & Technology Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Peterborough. As a placement student, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering.

This role is ideal for students studying BEng or MEng in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field. You will be responsible for supporting Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) in delivering Automation and Innovation/New Technology Strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the deployment of Central Capital to our manufacturing network to fund automation projects
  • Become a subject matter expert in specified automation technologies and document your knowledge to guide others
  • Lead projects in the advanced technology/process innovation space
  • Support plants to develop new solutions to current business issues
  • Support GME initiatives as needed

Requirements:

  • IT competent with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint)
  • Good communication and influential skills
  • Positive attitude, strong personal motivation, and an effective team member
