We are seeking a talented Junior IT Architect to join our Digital Solutions Team. As a Junior IT Architect, you will contribute to the design and delivery of complex IT systems to enable submarines and submariners to go to sea safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • On-the-job learning of all aspects of architecture, through academic learning, mentoring, and hands-on experience with the support of an experienced architecture team.
  • Deliver high-quality design documentation for software, hardware, and connectivity as part of a project team.
  • Champion and promote good architecture practices.
  • Support end-to-end project delivery by clearly communicating the scope and impact of changes within the context of the business.
  • Actively support the architecture team in evolving practices and processes by contributing to team roadmaps, design principles, and assets.
Requirements:
  • HNC (level 4) or equivalent in Computer Science or related subject.
  • Demonstrable experience of involvement in complex projects with a design focus.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex projects and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
