Junior Trader Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute FX and futures trades with precision and accuracy
  • Monitor market liquidity and positions to optimize trading performance
  • Collaborate with the trading team to identify opportunities and minimize risks
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the FX and futures markets
  • Stay up-to-date with market news and events to inform trading decisions
  • Work closely with the risk management team to ensure compliance with trading policies and procedures
  • Perform ad-hoc duties such as P&L reporting and monitoring global news events and data releases

Requirements

  • Quick learner with solid problem-solving and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Order Management and Execution Management Systems
  • Familiarity with the mechanics of FX and futures markets
  • STEM, Finance, or Economics graduate from a top university
  • Previous directly relevant experience – at least 1 year of trading desk experience

Nice to Have

  • Previous exposure to systematic strategies
  • Good proficiency in VBA & R
  • Currently or previously approved to perform the CDF function pursuant to the FCA's conduct rules
