About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Special Educational Needs (SEND) in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with ASD and SEND, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement differentiated lessons, promoting inclusive learning environments.
  • Support students in developing social skills, communication abilities, and independence, fostering a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and interventions to promote positive behavior and engagement in learning.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and progress monitoring.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with students with ASD and SEND is preferred but not essential.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (SEN) are desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and safeguarding training.
