Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator

Fairfax Meadow, the UK's leading Catering Butcher, is seeking a professional and experienced Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator to join its growing Health & Safety team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the business in undertaking and implementing measures to comply with statutory health and safety provisions.
  • Develop and monitor Health & Safety & well-being strategies, procedures, risk assessments, site safety plans, and safe working practices in line with the Global Safety Framework.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety & well-being culture and contribute to improving Health & Safety performance.
  • Action safety concerns raised by employees, managers, safety representatives, visitors, contractors, or members of the public.
  • Assist in the identification of training needs for employees and deliver training as required.
  • Support the carrying out and/or review of risk assessments where necessary.
  • Carry out workplace inspections to proactively identify areas for Health & Safety improvement.
  • Assist with the preparation of Health & Safety reports and statistical performance data.
  • Stay up-to-date with current Health & Safety legislation.
  • Participate in company projects or initiatives to improve wellbeing & Health & Safety.
  • Attend and chair safety meetings as required.

  • Be innovative in their approach to Health & Safety.
  • Drive performance in all areas, set clear objectives, and confront others in a clear, open, and constructive manner.
  • Create a performance culture where effective performance and continuous improvement are encouraged.
