Job Summary:

Randstad Construction & Property is seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a freelance basis. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for independently managing a £13m Bridge refurbishment project based on a billion-pound railway framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project from site, reporting into the Regional Commercial Lead
  • Have a good understanding of subcontractor management, change management, and dealing with variations, cost reporting, and understanding of extension of time
  • Work closely with the client to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience within a Quantity Surveyor position
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Arrangements:

This is a long-term freelance role with the option to work on a hybrid basis, split between site (2 days a week), head office (1 day a week), and from home (2 days a week).
