About the Role
As a Technical Programme Manager at Tesco, you will be responsible for delivering complex, cross-functional technology programmes that support colleagues and enhance customer experience. This role requires collaboration, influence, and leadership to drive programme goals and deliver value quickly and often.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver programmes with business and/or technical risks, leveraging your expertise to mitigate potential issues.
  2. Optimise or use a standard programme delivery methodology to achieve programme goals, such as agile, waterfall, or iterative approaches.
  3. Bring together, coordinate, and energise virtual technology teams to deliver programme objectives.
  4. Create and track a plan to deliver programme goals, including the technical implementation plan.
  5. Understand trade-offs and resulting impacts, making them visible to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  6. Manage dependencies, delivery timelines, and implementation plans, utilising your knowledge of technical architecture.

Requirements
An ideal candidate must have demonstrated the following key skills in their current and past roles:
  1. A proven record of accomplishment in delivering large programmes at global scales.
  2. Experience of building credible relationships and influencing senior & leadership teams.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  4. The ability to influence without authority.
  5. Flexibility, ability to plan and organise, responsiveness, and self-starter.
  6. Demonstrate resilience during change and continue delivery.
