Barista Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Compass Group UK&I. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and crafting high-quality drinks for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drink Preparation: Prepare perfectly blended drinks and serve high-quality food that delights our customers.
  • Bar Area Maintenance: Keep the bar area clean and well-maintained.
  • Payment Processing: Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) efficiently.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Be an enthusiastic team player and excellent communicator, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our goals.
  • Stock Management: Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Learn about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Brand Representation: Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image, embodying our values and standards.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Be a brilliant communicator and easily build relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Customer Service Experience: Have previous experience in customer service, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Initiative and Motivation: Strive for excellence in an eager and motivated manner, taking initiative and making decisions that are right for our customers.
  • Hands-on Experience: Have hands-on experience with brewing equipment, with a strong understanding of its operation and maintenance.
  • Pressure Management: Possess the ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and composed in fast-paced environments.
  • Timekeeping and Reliability: Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability, ensuring that you are punctual and committed to your duties.
