Our client is seeking a skilled BMS Engineer to join their team within the facilities management sector. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in BMS and controls engineering. The role will involve both Planned and Reactive Maintenance tasks for all BMS systems, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and installation.

- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical environment systems, ensuring optimal uptime for all essential power systems.
- Monitor and respond to BMS & EMS alarms across designated sites.
- Develop and maintain site-specific mechanical and controls procedures, ensuring compliance with client standards.
- Escalate alarms as per the alarm management protocol, updating the service desk accordingly.
- Provide clear updates on actions taken in response to BMS alarms.
- Remotely reset units and adjust temperatures as required.
- Generate weekly Battery Monitoring reports and oversee UPS discharge reports during maintenance servicing.
- Assist in compiling monthly management reports for clients.
- Monitor BMS & Alarm Systems effectively.
- Enhance incident management reporting and improvements.
- Manage switching schedules for maintenance tasks.
- Review switching schedules involving internal and external contractors.
- Maintain logbooks in line with System Control requirements.
- Collaborate with the Technical Manager to ensure alignment with shift teams.
- Ensure all BMS controls and equipment are maintained at peak operational efficiency, including sensor calibration.
- Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering (preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering).
- Relevant Technical Certifications (e.g., City & Guilds in Electrical Installation, NVQ in Engineering Maintenance).
- Training in BMS Systems: Certification or extensive training in systems such as Trend, Honeywell, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
- Proficiency in BMS software platforms and control systems.
- Experience in data centres or similar critical environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of BMS and building services.
