Senior Project Manager - Data Centres

Our client, a leading player in the UK data centre sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their project delivery team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring timely completion and minimal variations and cost increases.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Provide regular updates to the Project Director and compile weekly reports to track project progress.
  3. Review existing project demands with the Design team and external consultants to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  4. Manage Health and Safety across all UK Data Centre projects, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  5. Coordinate works to ensure timely delivery, liaising with construction teams and contractors to minimize delays.
  6. Ensure completion of final commissioning prior to handover to the Operations Team, ensuring seamless project handover.
  7. Provide project management support across any project in the UK, as required.
  8. Regularly report on project progress to the Project Director, highlighting any issues or concerns.
  9. Travel, including overnight stays, for onsite meetings and project site visits.
  10. Assist the project management team with day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a critical environment, with Data Centre experience being an advantage.
  2. Substantial Project Management experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  3. Strong Project Management skills in a technical/construction environment, with a focus on budget management and financial tracking.
  4. Good working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project, with experience in using these tools to manage projects.
  5. Demonstrable change management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  6. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in a similar environment, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
