Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in Chesterfield. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working closely with customers to understand their needs, and advising them on high-value purchases. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and contributing to sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and advise them on the best products to meet their requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including general housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Contribute to sales targets by promoting products and services to customers, and providing upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging and attractive store environment.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Basic knowledge of bedding and mattress products, with a willingness to learn and develop product knowledge.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to use point-of-sale systems and other technology.
