Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space Limited. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance communication payload equipment for our telecommunications satellites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic circuits and power interfaces for our communication payload equipment.
  • Generate design concepts and detailed circuit designs, including component selection, simulation, and schematic capture.
  • Collaborate with product responsible engineers and PCB layout engineers to ensure successful design implementation.
  • Develop documentation to support design, including worst-case analysis, parts stress analysis, and FMECA.
Requirements
  • Experience in hardware design cycle, from requirements capture to design verification.
  • Knowledge of power electronic circuit design, including active discreet protection circuits, magnetics, and DC-DC converters.
  • Experience with Spice simulation software tools for detailed analysis.
