We are working with a leading provider of EV and fleet management solutions to find a skilled Maintenance Fleet Controller to join their team.
The Role
As a Maintenance Fleet Controller, you will be responsible for delivering day-to-day activities and providing strategic support to customers. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of technical and customer service, with a focus on vehicle cost authorizations and downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the dedicated point of contact for all maintenance, refurbishment, and accident repairs.
- Provide appropriate challenge to all costs for vehicle repairs using technical rulesets.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to resolve challenges for clients and drivers within agreed SLAs.
- Develop strong relationships with third-party suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective route for all repairs.
- Update systems to create a maintenance history and work orders.
- Provide vehicle off-road reports and ensure all vehicles are back on the road in a timely manner with as little additional cost to the client or the business.
- Expedite chasing of VOR parts with dealers and manufacturers.
- Liaise with manufacturers' customer service teams for warranty and parts backorders.
Requirements
- Have worked in a manufacturer's franchised dealership in workshop and service desk environments.
- Extensive knowledge of the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles, including EVs.
- Experience of working in a cost approval and audit function.
- Ability to forge both internal and external relationships at multiple levels.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to plan, problem-solve, and prioritize.
- High level of competence in Excel.
- Highly driven with the ability to work to deadlines and deliver results.
- Strong telephone-based communication skills.
