About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ICA Technician to join our team at Veolia Water Outsourcing Ltd in Edinburgh. As an ICA Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering technical support for the wastewater process, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and complete planned preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the AVSE contract.
  • Interface with design engineers, operational engineers, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in fault finding and reverse engineering of on-site automation/PLC requirements to support ongoing operations.
  • Provide on-site support to site engineering field staff on multi-discipline capital and operational maintenance tasks.
  • Assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Maintain the highest level of on-site health and safety standards for yourself and other field team members.
  • Report accurate data into the computerized maintenance management system and provide up-to-date asset information.
Requirements
  • Recognized engineering qualifications with relevant instrumentation experience and formal training.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and SCADA systems with understanding of process impacts.
  • Knowledge of all areas, sites, and processes within the AVSE contract would be advantageous.
  • Practical understanding of health and safety legislation and responsibilities.
  • A good working knowledge of all legislative and legal requirements regarding health and safety.
  • Knowledge of the Veolia health and safety culture and H&S legislation and all processes in place within the business would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Google packages and experience of computerized maintenance management packages is essential.
  • Strong commercial awareness and proven track record of managing contractors/subcontractors.
  • Full driving license required.
