About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Mobile Support Worker to join our team at Housing for Women. As a Mobile Support Worker, you will provide vital support to women experiencing domestic abuse, across Ealing and surrounding areas, helping them navigate their journey from crisis to stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to women with high and complex needs, conducting risk assessments and developing individual support plans.
  • Manage a caseload of women, advocating for their rights and connecting them with local services to ensure they have access to necessary resources, including housing, healthcare, and legal assistance.
  • Facilitate service user engagement to ensure their voices shape service delivery.
  • Work with external agencies to build positive relationships and enhance service quality.
  • Manage housing operations, such as monitoring rent accounts, managing voids, and coordinating repairs and maintenance.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with adults in a related social care setting.
  • Experience working in a support role promoting independence.
  • Experience undertaking individual assessments, including risk assessments and developing and delivering support plans.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legal rights, including criminal and civil law, housing rights, and welfare rights for women who have experienced domestic violence and/or leaving prison.
  • An understanding of local and national approaches to tackling domestic abuse.
  • A qualification and relevant training on the issues around domestic violence and abuse, problematic substance misuse, and the criminal justice system.
