The Opportunity: Field Forklift Engineer

Gwynedd Forklifts, a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions, is seeking a skilled Field Forklift Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks across various customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend customer sites to assess and agree on work priorities, ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
  • Liaise with customers and controllers to provide clarity on expected work, timescales, and costs.
  • Identify root causes of breakdowns and obtain necessary parts in a cost-effective manner, utilizing resources such as the Briggs Technical team when required.
  • Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and relevant specifications.
  • Carry out inspections and checks on own work, ensuring equipment performs satisfactorily and is safe before handing it back to the customer.
  • Identify additional work required on machines and inform customers, especially where costs are involved.
  • Complete job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and documents from customers.
