About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Routing and Switching Specialist to join our team at Tata Consultancy Services. As a key member of our network operations team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architecture and infrastructure to support business growth and expansion.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and manage network security protocols and policies to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
Requirements
  • Strong background in networking, SaaS, and security, with a deep understanding of IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, and MPLS.
  • Hands-on experience with MPLS, BGP, and VRF concepts, as well as troubleshooting skills with BGP, LDP, IP routing policies, and VRF.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco VMDC architectures, Nexus Platforms, Fabric path, FEX, VDC, VPC, MEC, VSS, STP, and Stretched Data Center architecture.
  • Good technical competence to suggest IOS and NX-OS suitable to infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with Nexus 7K, 5K, 2K, 1K v, Cisco ASR, Cisco ISR, Cisco 65xx, 45xx, 39xx, 38xx, 29xx, 36xx, and WAN optimizers such as Riverbed Steelhead.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco ACS 5.6, Cisco LMS 4.2.5, Cisco Prime Infrastructure 2.2, and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, CA Spectrum, and Netcool).
  • Good understanding of managing and administering Cisco ISE for Wireless, Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco ASA context Firewalls, and VPN technologies.
  • Good understanding and ability to manage Cisco wireless controllers.
  • Knowledge and open-mindedness to suggest global network and data center best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work with 3rd party vendors, OEMs, and product suppliers.
  • Knowledge on contracts and SLAs.
  • Good knowledge in ITIL process.
  • Experience in handling network high-priority incidents.
