As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive educational environment for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behaviours.
Key Location: Crawley
Contract Type: Temporary Full-Time
Salary Range: £85 - £105 (Dependent on experience and pay scale)

Are you dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of children facing behavioural challenges and SEN? Teaching Personnel is in search of a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded secondary institution in Crawley. This establishment is renowned for its commitment to supporting both SEN students and those exhibiting challenging behaviours. The ideal candidate will be devoted to assisting students in overcoming their challenges, enabling them to achieve their utmost potential both academically and socially.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and group assistance to students with SEN and behavioural challenges.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to implement customized learning strategies tailored to the needs of the students.
- Track and document student progress, offering constructive feedback to the educational team regarding specific individuals.
- Establish positive relationships with students to cultivate an inclusive learning atmosphere, supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Qualifications and Skills
- Enhanced DBS clearance, or willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience in supporting children with special educational needs and behavioural difficulties is highly advantageous.
- A relevant qualification related to SEN support is preferred but not mandatory.
- Exhibit patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to assisting students with SEN and challenging behaviours.
