Cloud Security Specialist

A leading global technology company is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Consultant to join their team.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Enterprise Security, Architecture, Cloud Enablement & Engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize security controls in the cloud, particularly within multi-cloud environments.
Your expertise will be crucial in driving the implementation of Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) capabilities and ensuring cloud security posture remains robust and compliant with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and optimize cloud security controls.
- Lead efforts to enhance security configurations and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards, including the Cloud Security Alliance, Cloud Controls Matrix, and NIST guidelines.
- Implement and enforce standards and policies to safeguard workloads and the cloud infrastructure, applying a deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, SIEM, firewalls, and CNAPP.
- Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of existing cloud security capabilities and solutions to identify vulnerabilities and risks.
- Develop actionable recommendations and strategies for securing cloud solutions.
- Deep technical security background with in-depth knowledge of cross-cloud security principles and standard processes.
- Served as a technical security expert, providing advice and guidance to team members and the wider business.
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping to shape and drive the security agenda across key business units.
- A competitive day rate of £750-£800pd.
- Inside IR35 status.
- A 6-month initial contract with the possibility of extension.
- 2 days a week in Hertfordshire office.
