Job Title: Technical Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Finance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review technical accounting analysis and papers for presentation to the Head of Financial Reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRSs, local internal and external finance reporting requirements.
  • Support the business units with technical accounting queries and liaise with external auditors, FP&R, Actuarial, M&A, legal, Group and property teams.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for consolidations that sit within the MU.
  • Identify and raise issues with the Head of Financial Reporting.

Requirements:

  • Confident individual with an interest in and experience of technical accounting assessments.
  • Flexible and pragmatic.
  • Competent user of financial systems and consolidation tools and standard Microsoft packages essential.
