Job Title: Asset Cost Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Asset Cost Engineer to join our team at Rullion Limited. As an Asset Cost Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and delivering timely and accurate cost data and reports for our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain cost data and reports for our projects, including forecasts, performance analysis, earned value, cash flows, and monthly reports on the Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP).
  2. Ensure alignment of data between Cost and other Disciplines of Project Controls.
  3. Ensure alignment of ACWP and financial actuals.
  4. Maintain Project data within your area of work and identify local issues and suggest resolutions or changes.
  5. Accurately maintain all cost data for the Programme within the financial control system (EcoSys), including monthly ACWP calculations.
  6. Assist in the Trend & Change process, including production of Project Change Reports, analysis of cost impact, and provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
  7. Review, acceptance, and integration of cost estimates and forecasts provided by Tier 1 Contractors and suppliers.
  8. Assist with analysis of earned value.
  9. Adhere to Project governance and Cost standards and procedures.
  10. Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or other related field.
  2. Proven relevant experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment in a similar Cost role.
  3. Good commercial awareness.
  4. Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and risk management techniques and associated software.
  5. Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC.
  6. Working knowledge of cost risk analysis techniques.
Desirable:
  1. Degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or other related field.
  2. Experience in the use of cost management software systems such as EcoSys.
  3. Experience on a major construction project.
  4. Experience in the Nuclear sector.
