About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Midwife to join our team at Homerton University Hospital. As a Midwife Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women and their families in our Maternity Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based midwifery care to women and their families in a variety of settings, including the hospital and community.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for women and their families.
- Develop and implement plans of care that meet the individual needs of women and their families.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to ensure the best possible outcomes for women and their families.
- Communicate effectively with women and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals, to ensure that care is coordinated and effective.
Requirements
- NMC Registered Midwife
- Evidence of professional development and updating
- Ability to practice in all areas of midwifery in accordance with the NMC Midwives Code of Practice
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and devise, implement, monitor and evaluate plans of care
