Exertis is seeking a dedicated Apprentice to join our Purchasing Team. This role is designed to support the Purchasing department in planning and executing all procurement activities, ensuring a streamlined purchasing process and achieving cost efficiencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and a commitment to fostering relationships both internally and externally. Responsibilities will include inventory oversight, supplier coordination, sales assistance, and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the processing of Purchase Orders and ensure timely payment transactions.
- Assist the Sales team with inquiries related to inventory.
- Facilitate order processing from initiation to completion.
- Track and manage Service Level Agreements effectively.
- Evaluate Supplier performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate delivery schedules for product arrivals at our facilities.
- Engage with Vendors for competitive pricing and manage internal protocols.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to guarantee stock availability.
- Coordinate the inbound logistics of goods from suppliers.
- Organize the shipment of incoming products.
- Resolve any discrepancies related to warehouse notices.
- Support and communicate effectively with the sales team.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to Ethics and Compliance, adhering to the DCC Group Code of Conduct.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to take initiative and ownership of tasks.
