Job Title:
Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:
Ambitek Limited is seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and systems repair, with a focus on CNC machinery maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain CNC machinery, manual machines, and machining centers
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
  • Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary
  • Complete testing and make adjustments of parts as needed
  • Complete full condition appraisals on CNC machinery
  • Complete planned and preventative procedures
  • Plan and assist with machine moves
  • Evaluate and escalate issues that could disrupt production

Requirements:

  • Time served – NVQ and/or degree qualified
  • Strong electrical, systems repair, and diagnostic skills with strong mechanical skills
  • Conversant with CNC machinery, including multi-axis lathes, horizontal and vertical milling machines
  • Ability to read part manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions, and troubleshooting guides
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in all aspects of CNC machinery maintenance/mechanical engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working on Fanuc controls would be an advantage
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend/stoop on a regular basis

Benefits:
Salary between £35,000 to £40,000 plus overtime at Time and Half and Double time Sunday. 6:45 until 15:15 Monday to Thursday and 14:15 Friday.
