Job Overview

Trant Engineering Limited, a leading multi-discipline engineering and construction company, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Installation Supervisor to support our water projects across the UK and overseas.

This is a non-working role that requires strong leadership and coordination skills to oversee mechanical installation works, liaise with design and procurement teams, and communicate plans and programs with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise mechanical installation works, including pipework, pumps, and steelwork
  • Liaise with design and procurement teams to facilitate installation
  • Communicate plans, programs, and safe systems of work with project stakeholders
  • Day-to-day planning, organizing, and supervision of mechanical installation
  • Scoping new works and surveys
  • Overseeing subcontractor works
  • Supervision of direct workforce
  • Collaboration with other trades in the utilities industry

Requirements:

  • Installation background in the water, power, or heavier industrial sectors
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification
  • JIB Mechanical Pipefitter or equivalent qualification
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Computer Literacy

Desirable Skills:

  • C&G Medium Risk Confined Space
  • Telehandler ticket
  • Mobile Tower Erection (e.g. PASMA)
  • Mobile Elevated Working Platforms (e.g. IPAF)
  • First Aid at Work
