We're seeking a dedicated Teacher Trainer to join our team at Dovetail and Slate, working within a prison education department.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise and passion for teaching with learners in a correctional setting. As a Teacher Trainer, you will work closely with tutors and teachers to support the delivery of teaching qualifications, creating engaging course content, leading training sessions, and coaching and mentoring colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver teaching qualifications to support the education and training of learners
  • Work closely with tutors and teachers to ensure the successful completion of teaching qualifications
  • Create engaging course content and lead training sessions
  • Coach and mentor colleagues to support their professional development
  • Quality assure the delivery of teaching qualifications

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 5 teaching qualification
  • An assessing qualification
  • A Level 4 IQA qualification
