About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join our team at Addition+. As a Cybersecurity Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting critical systems that are pivotal to the UK's (and its allies) safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and support critical systems that are pivotal to the UK's (and its allies) safety.
  • Cybersecurity Software Development Environments: Contribute/Lead in setting up appropriate cyber security software development environments.
  • Complex Software Projects: Responsible for design decisions & the feature enhancements of complex software projects.
  • Project Management: Ensure all development projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Proof of Concept Development: Manage PoC development plans with opportunities to present to customers.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Processes: Define the CI/CD pipeline processes and testing methodologies.
  • Centre of Excellence: Continue to improve the UK's Defence Cyber Security Software Centre of Excellence.
Requirements
  • Software Development Experience: Experience designing & developing quality software products using Python, Java, C, C++ or C#.
  • Object-Oriented Software Design: Knowledge of object-orientated software design & programming.
  • Code Quality: Comfortable building robust, tested code for highly complex software solutions.
  • Software Configuration Management: Experience disassembling and/or debugging external tools and libraries.
  • Version Control Systems: Exposure to software configuration management tools such as Git/BitBucket
  • Software Technologies: Eagerness to learn a broad range of software technologies, most favourably native languages along with Python.
