We are seeking an experienced Sports Rights Executive to join our growing EU live sports team at Amazon. As a key member of our Business Affairs and Rights Acquisition team, you will play a critical role in negotiating and managing sports rights for Prime Video across the EU.
Key Responsibilities- Internal Champion and Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for live sports rights agreements, working closely with adjacent teams including Marketing, Legal, Production, and Advertising.
- Relationship Management: Support Amazon's relationship with rights holders and commercial partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Commercialization of Live Sports Rights: Manage and grow adjacent commercialization of live sports rights, identifying new opportunities for revenue growth.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Take ownership of specific live sports rights negotiations, managing contractual workflow and pipeline with legal teams.
- Live Sports Strategy: Contribute to Amazon's Live sports strategy, providing input on the growth of the live sports portfolio.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience with Excel and complex agreements.
- Experience in an account management, licensing, or business development role.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements with a firm understanding of legal terminology and reasoning.
- Experience in sports broadcast deal making.
Fully qualified Lawyer with prerequisite legal qualifications.
Experience within the sports industry from either a broadcaster, federation, or agency.
Practical business judgement.
