Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Aspen Medical Practice. As a key member of our clinical pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies within our general practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership on medicines optimisation and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage and mentor junior pharmacists to develop their skills and expertise
  • Support general practice staff with prescription and medication queries, and provide clinical medicines advice
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of protocols and processes to improve patient safety and outcomes
  • Collaborate with community and hospital pharmacy teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes

Person Specification

  • Mandatory registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm)
  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (desirable)
  • Specialist knowledge acquired through post-graduate diploma level or equivalent training/experience (desirable)
  • Independent prescriber (desirable)
