Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Newton Colmore Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and enhancing various security technologies.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing spinout security technology company based in Cambridge. You will collaborate with a team of experts, including electronics design engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, and other specialists.

Your focus will span across radio, satellite, communications, radar, sensors, and other complex technologies used in the defence, aerospace, telecommunications, and other cutting-edge sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to design and develop new technologies
  • Contribute to the development of new technologies and improve current versions
  • Work on bespoke products and services for clients, ensuring unique projects and challenges
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with substantial experience in developing embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages. While experience in telecommunications, aerospace, scientific, radar, radio, or other complex technologies is ideal, it is not essential.

Certain roles may require security clearance, typically necessitating a British passport with no criminal record or a history of residing in the UK and paying taxes for several years (also with no criminal record).
