Job Title: IT Lecturer

We are seeking an experienced IT Lecturer to join our team at MidKent College. As an IT Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, focusing on Level 2 and 3 BTEC courses in IT and Cyber Security.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions to students, using a range of methods and resources to ensure they meet their learning objectives.
  • Course Management: Manage day-to-day course activities, including lesson planning, marking, and assessment, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, including one-to-one meetings, progress monitoring, and pastoral care.
  • Departmental Administration: Assist with departmental tasks, such as timetabling, course development, and quality assurance.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Relevant teaching qualifications, such as a PGCE or equivalent, and a degree in a relevant subject area.
  • Experience: Proven experience of teaching and learning in a further education setting, with a focus on IT and Cyber Security.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
