Role Overview:
As a remote Liability Claims Specialist, you will oversee a varied portfolio of expedited and complex liability claims; including Employers', Public & Products, TPPD, and CAR on a comprehensive basis, focusing on investigation and reporting. A minimum of 5 years of experience in loss assessment is required, along with a proven history of delivering exceptional customer service and technical proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of up to 80 files, showcasing effective and proactive claims management.
- Conduct thorough site investigations promptly.
- Handle claims from inception to conclusion, focusing on investigation and reporting.
- Engage with Insurers, Policyholders, Witnesses, and other professionals as necessary, managing their expectations.
- Establish the correct liability outcome, control indemnity expenses, and negotiate claim resolutions within our Principal's authority.
- Comprehend, interpret, and apply Policy coverage and its language to various specialized classes as needed.
- Adhere to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Draft detailed and clear reports that articulate your investigation, legal liability, and financial recommendations.
- Offer technical advice, support, and guidance to all parties involved, proposing tailored solutions professionally.
- Stay updated on case law and legal advancements.
- Assist in developing new business and strengthening existing relationships with all stakeholders.
- Exhibit a proactive attitude and collaborate effectively with colleagues and all stakeholders.
- Champion GHG's ethical standards and values.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 2 A' Levels and GCSE in Mathematics and English.
- Cert CII and/or Cert CILA.
- At least 5 years of experience in loss assessment and claims management, specifically with Liability claims.
- Knowledge and understanding of Commercial Combined Liability Policies and CAR Policies.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Strong research, investigative, and analytical abilities. Professional demeanor in all interactions.
- A valid and clean driving license is essential.
