Principal Safety Case Specialist

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Principal Safety Case Specialist to join our team in Safety Case Assessment. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in assessing nuclear, explosive, and other major hazards.

About the Role

Our safety case teams are at the forefront of innovative work, involving groundbreaking projects across various industries. You will be responsible for leading and managing technical input to the planning and production of key safety documentation, delivering safety assessments and technical safety documentation to agreed AWE standards, and providing technical input to the design and delivery of technical training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage technical input to the planning and production of key safety documentation
  • Deliver safety assessments and technical safety documentation to agreed AWE standards
  • Provide technical input to the design and delivery of technical training
  • Mentor nuclear safety analysts and senior nuclear safety analysts
  • Develop and deliver complex safety analyses, assessments, and associated documentation to ensure regulatory compliance
