Position Overview:
The Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Architectural Association School of Architecture, reporting directly to the Head of Outreach and Recruitment. This position collaborates with various departments, including Admissions, Registry, and Communications.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will be instrumental in enhancing the visibility of the institution, fostering connections with feeder schools and colleges, and encouraging applications from prospective students through well-structured outreach and engagement initiatives.
In partnership with the Events Coordinator and the Admissions team, the Coordinator will assist in organizing outreach, recruitment, engagement, and conversion events tailored for potential students. These events encompass a range of activities, including:
- Virtual and in-person open days
- Outreach workshops
- Day at the AA taster days
- Applicant Drop-In sessions
- Postgraduate Exemplary Projects Showcase
- Introduction Week for new students
Networking and Communication:
The role entails identifying and reaching out to representatives who can showcase the institution at school and college events, as well as at higher education fairs. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage and coordinate requests from visiting groups of prospective students interested in learning more about the institution.
Coordination of Communication:
This position will also support the management of communications with prospective students, school representatives, and career advisors regarding admissions timelines and significant events.
Travel and Flexibility:
The Coordinator will be expected to travel across the UK and may need to work during evenings and weekends, with appropriate time off in lieu.
Contract Details:
This role is offered as a fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
