Lead Pharmacist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to lead our clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service at Ramsay Health Care Clinical. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing an excellent pharmaceutical service to our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead a team of pharmacists and technicians to deliver a patient-centred clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve medicines management and reduce medication errors.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal use of medicines.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medicines management.
• Provide education and training to staff on medicines management and patient safety.
• Monitor and report on medicines-related patient safety incidents and contribute to the development of action plans to prevent future incidents.
• Work closely with the Head of Clinical Services to ensure compliance with medicines legislation and organisational policies.

Requirements

• Current registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• Experience of leading a team and service in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of electronic stock control systems and audit and data analysis.
