Job Overview
Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Specialty Doctor to join our Paediatrics team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of paediatric and neonatal care and deliver high-quality outcomes to children in the locality.
The successful candidate will assume a general paediatric and neonatal role within the Paediatrics specialty, with responsibility for the day-to-day care and management of a diverse and challenging mix of paediatric/neonatal patients. They will work as part of the acute rota and be involved in ward rounds, clinics, and administrative duties.
Main Responsibilities
- To provide a high-quality clinical service, ensuring the provision of excellent care to patients and their families.
- To lead and support junior doctors and medical students, promoting a culture of learning and development.
- To work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver effective patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
- To participate in audit and research activities, contributing to the development of evidence-based practice.
- To develop and maintain a special interest, with the support of senior colleagues.
- To contribute to the programme of post-graduate activities, medical students, and nursing staff within the department.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Full registration with the GMC at time of appointment.
- Evidence of achievement of ST3 (or its equivalent) competences in Paediatrics at time of application.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English.
- Up-to-date APLS/EPLS and NLS.
- Evidence of 4 years (FTE) postgraduate training in the UK (or equivalent training) of which at least 2 year's training must be in relevant specialty or a recognised equivalent training.
Occupational Experience
- Teaching: evidence of interest and experience in teaching where required in the job.
