Job Title: Canteen Assistant

About the Role:

The Langham, London is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Canteen Assistant to join our team in The Yard, our colleague restaurant. As a Canteen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our canteen service, providing a safe and clean environment for our colleagues to enjoy their meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized canteen area, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless food service
  • Assist with food preparation, presentation, and plating
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and events
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or food service environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic food safety training (desirable)
  • Availability to work 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
