About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems for our defence customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for defence applications, including 3D CAD models and drawings
  • Evaluate the structural behaviour of complex assemblies, including stress, vibration, and thermal analysis
  • Undertake assessments using hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
  • Support the design development of complex systems through model validation activities
  • Deliver mechanical/environmental test plans to support product qualification
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical design for complex structures, including electronics
  • Able to apply design for manufacture principles to a range of manufacturing methods
  • Working knowledge of statics, dynamics, and thermal evaluation of aerospace components
  • Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance
