About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at London Bridge Hospital, a leading private healthcare provider in the UK. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our campus.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately identifying, selecting, labeling, and dispensing drugs for in and outpatients' prescriptions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Undertaking reception duties, including dealing with patients, relatives, and handling prescription charges/crediting unused medicines.
  • Participating in counseling on the use of medicines and providing information on medicines to patients, doctors, and other healthcare staff.
  • Ensuring that all medicines are stored according to environmental requirements and to required security standards.
  • Assisting in the documentation and preparation of emergency drug boxes.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • NVQ level 3 in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent.
  • Qualified Pharmacy Technician for a minimum of 1 year.
