Zenith People is collaborating with a client seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Maintenance Specialist for a permanent position.

The primary objective of this role is to deliver engineering and maintenance assistance by executing preventative maintenance on plant systems, as well as providing engineering support during regular hours and on-call duties as part of a scheduled roster (with an on-call compensation).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to the facility's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to minimize unexpected downtime and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, isolation, and repair of machinery.
  • Contributing to the electrical upkeep and operational efficiency of plant machinery.
  • Performing evaluations and risk assessments across all plant areas to ensure safe operational practices and environments.
  • Identifying and engaging external resources when necessary for routine maintenance tasks or ongoing enhancement initiatives.
  • Utilizing SAP for raising purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Participating in regular training to ensure maintenance tasks comply with optimal safety practices and current regulations.

Qualifications:

A formal qualification in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) along with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a plant electrician is required.

Experience with PLC control systems, Variable Speed Drives, Conveyor Systems, and Thermal Processing Equipment is essential. Familiarity with the standards of operating within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment is also necessary. Additionally, experience in an on-call maintenance framework is preferred.
