About the Company:


Interaction Technical is collaborating with a prominent manufacturer in the Agricultural Engineering sector located in the Dorset region to enhance their engineering workforce.

As the business expands, our client seeks to recruit an electromechanical field engineer to service, maintain, and repair a variety of agricultural machinery in and around the Dorchester area.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary range of £30,000-£40,000 based on experience, with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000+
  • 32 days of holiday including bank holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Overtime opportunities available at 1.5X during weekdays, x2 on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Holiday overtime pay - distributed in May (£1,500 paid last year)
  • Commitment to ongoing training and career advancement
  • Pension plan - minimum 3% employee contribution, 8% employer contribution
  • Company vehicle, Fuel Card, mobile phone, etc.
  • All travel time and expenses covered from home to site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose faults accurately, perform servicing, and execute emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers, etc.)
  • Travel to client locations to ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues on agricultural and horticultural equipment
  • Work independently at customer sites while collaborating with colleagues to ensure proper documentation and optimal solutions are provided.
  • Engage with engines, batteries, and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Communicate with clients to identify faults and develop effective solutions.
Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience with hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Background in the Agricultural industry (essential)
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and servicing (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
