JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is seeking experienced Senior / Principal Quality Assurance Engineers to support our operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions across various sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, and renewable energy.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play a critical role in assisting the Quality Assurance Manager by:
  • Acting as the Project Quality Assurance Manager and executing the requirements of the Quality Management System on designated projects.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on the application of the Quality Management System and Project Quality Plans to both assigned Quality Engineers and Project teams.
  • Facilitating the rollout and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Offering guidance and oversight of Quality Assurance activities as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implementing Quality Management System requirements as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 across all phases and types of projects (Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, PMC, and IPMT).
  • Advising Project Management personnel on the application of the Quality Management System in relation to project execution.
  • Reviewing QA and QC requirements during proposal preparation and assessing resourcing, manpower budgets, and scheduling of QA activities.
  • Fulfilling the role of Project Quality Manager or Quality Engineer as required.
  • Preparing, implementing, and maintaining Project Quality Plans, ensuring effective communication of all contractual quality requirements.
  • Reviewing and approving project-specific and supplier procedures and documents to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Developing a program of internal and external Quality audits, focusing on the effective application of the Quality Management System and adherence to the Project Quality Plan.
  • Reviewing all audit reports to confirm that the quality management systems are implemented and compliant with contractual requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Significant recent experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Experience in Pre-FEED/FEED/EPC/IPMT/PMC organizations within the Refinery and Petrochemicals sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of PED, ATEX, ASME, ANSI, and EU standards is preferred.
  • Experience in both Onshore and Offshore environments is desirable.
  • Experience in Carbon Capture and Hydrogen processes is a plus.
  • Demonstrable qualifications for planning, conducting, and reporting internal and external audits from a recognized body are preferable.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong influencing abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Strong project management skills and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
