Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and manage the company's quality, health, safety, and welfare policies.
  • Oversee the delivery of comprehensive vehicle projects, supported by a multi-disciplinary engineering team, ensuring cost, quality, timing, delivery, resources, and profitability are met.
  • Lead and mentor a team of project engineers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to identify new opportunities and develop budgets for aftermarket products.
  • Ensure all projects have appropriate Purchase Order coverage as per the DRVN budget and negotiations.
  • Manage, monitor, and control project timelines and deliverables according to established requirements.
  • Engage with core engineering management to set expectations, review objectives, and allocate project resources effectively.
  • Report on project team performance during weekly and monthly governance reviews.
  • Exhibit leadership within project teams through effective communication and governance.
  • Interface directly with DRVN customers to ensure project requirements are understood and met within budget constraints.
  • Provide daily motivation and a positive outlook for team members.
  • Ensure the team maintains DRVN's quality accreditation and adheres to specific DRVN systems.
  • Uphold the core values of DRVN.

Performance Metrics

The Programme Manager's performance will be evaluated based on the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timeliness of project delivery
  • Cost management versus budget – Profitability
  • DRVN New Product Introduction (NPI) metrics
  • Customer satisfaction levels
  • Team satisfaction and engagement
  • Business development and team growth
  • Team efficiency measured by actual hours versus invoiced hours

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in successfully delivering full vehicle programmes to launch as a Project/Programme Manager in a dynamic automotive environment.
  • Significant project management experience with proficiency in project management systems.
  • Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, customers, and suppliers on both operational and analytical levels.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Valid driving license as travel may be required.
  • Confident in team interactions and leadership.
  • Must possess full rights to work in the UK without restrictions.
