Position Summary: The Surfacing Supervisor will oversee all operational elements within the National Highways Strategic network, focusing on scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure that all team members adhere to the company's Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and procedures.
  • Guarantee that materials are applied at the appropriate thickness to minimize waste and reduce environmental impact.
  • Maintain compliance with Sector 16 regulations, including temperature monitoring and daily laying documentation, while adopting a 'Right 1st Time' approach.
  • Complete daily record sheets, including traffic management, plant inspections, defect reports, and waste transfer documentation.
  • Assist the Commercial and Finance teams in tracking expenses and preparing final financial reports.
  • Provide monthly KPI data as requested, covering exposure hours, planning tonnages, waste management, and vehicle/plant information for carbon footprint analysis.
  • Participate in team briefings and contribute to collaborative discussions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in supervising asphalt or surfacing operations
  • CSCS Manager certification
