Position Overview
We are looking for a Medical Gas Systems Technician to join our team, focusing on our extensive medical gas planning, design, maintenance, and installation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring optimal service delivery and enhancements.
- Service and maintain a diverse range of medical gas systems and equipment within healthcare facilities.
- Engage in business development activities, collaborating with clients to identify areas for improvement and new growth opportunities.
Work Schedule
This role operates Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities.
Specific Duties Include:
- Performing service and planned preventative maintenance checks, tests, and inspections in line with industry standards and healthcare requirements.
- Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
- Executing a comprehensive range of servicing and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Documenting changes observed since previous inspections.
- Reporting electrical faults and changes in the condition of equipment.
- Notifying any significant issues that may impact medical gas supply.
- Submitting maintenance reports and job summaries.
- Managing inventory of van stocks.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess an engineering background with a minimum of three years of experience as a Service Engineer, specifically in servicing and maintaining Medical Gas Pipeline systems within a hospital environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Competent Person (MGPS) status is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A positive attitude and self-motivated work ethic.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with clients.
- A valid driving license.
