Bristol Dental School is a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of Bristol, delivering a modern operating model within its 119 chair clinical space.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a positive and collaborative environment, supporting both dental students and postgraduate trainees.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support to dental students across various clinical areas within the school.
  • Promote safe working practices and guidance, ensuring adherence to established protocols for training dental nurses, undergraduates, and postgraduate students.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical spaces, including setting up bays in different departments. Provide chairside assistance to staff and students as needed. Manage materials and supplies, ensuring efficient ordering and stocktaking. Maintain equipment and oversee necessary repairs.
  • Deliver guidance and training on dental nursing techniques and dental imaging procedures. Contribute to the development of training programs for dental imaging within the radiology spaces.
  • Emphasize the importance of Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, and Infection Prevention Control during inductions for trainee dental nurses, undergraduates, and throughout their clinical placements.

  • Enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to self-manage and inspire others to achieve excellence.
  • Highly organized and capable of supporting a wide range of dental nursing duties across clinical departments, radiology, and laboratories.
  • A qualified Dental Nurse registered with the General Dental Council.
